17 people injured in the passenger GAZel and diesel locomotive accident, were discharged from the Zhanaozen City Central Hospital. According to doctors, the condition of patients is assessed as satisfactory. Two people are in the Surgical Department and three are in the Traumatology Department in a medium serious condition.
In the resuscitation and intensive care unit, two more people are in serious condition. Two children are in the regional children's hospital. Last week they were released from the ventilator. One child had his middle third of the tibia of both legs amputated. Also, the girl was made an external fixation of the femur on her right leg, at the site of the fracture. The current state of the child is critical. Another child was transferred to the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics. The boy's condition is stable, the children's regional hospital reported.
On November 25, a special working group under Zhanaozen akimat was created to provide material and moral assistance to the victims and their families. To date, Kazakstan Temir Zholy JSC transferred the following amounts to the victims' account: 9 families received 1 million tenge, 9 people with severe injuries - 600 thousand tenge and 18 people with moderate and mild degrees of severity - 300 thousand tenge.
In addition, to provide material assistance to the victims, 299,700 tenge were transferred from residents and various institutions of the city to the Public Fund. The working group will distribute this money between the victims in the road accident.
Currently, local police conduct daily preventive measures to control passenger traffic in public transport to prevent traffic accidents. In addition, Akimat of Zhanaozen city monitors public transport three times a day.
