Today, the "Nur Kapital" Program has been launched in Mangystau. The event was attended by the Chairman of "Atameken" the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Kulibayev, akim of the Mangystau region Eraly Tugzhanov, akims of cities and districts of the region, public associations of entrepreneurs, representatives of second-tier banks, financial institutions.
The fourth of Nursultan Nazarbayev's "Five Social Initiatives" is "Expansion of microcredit". The Head of State stressed that this initiative will allow thousands of people to open their own business. In order to implement and support the tasks set by Elbasy, the Mangystau region has launched the “Nur Kapital” Program to provide SME loans at 1% per annum. This program was supported and approved by the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev.
"We have set the goal of modernizing public consciousness of the population, creating real conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. At the moment, the total loan portfolio is 2.7 billion tenge, 900 million tenge of which from the local budget, 1,800 million tenge from the Damu Fund. To date, agreements have already been signed with the Mangystau regional branch of Kazakhstan Halyk Bank JSC (400 million tenge), the Zhanaozen regional branch of Kazakhstan Halyk Bank JSC, (placed 400 million tenge) and ForteBank JSC (placed 322 million tenge), SB Sberbank of Russia JSC (placed 150 million tenge). Also, to participate in this program, applications were submitted by Bank Center Credit JSC and Atameken Microfinance LLP,” - akim Eraly Tugzhanov said.
All entrepreneurs who want to participate in the "Nur Kapital" Program can apply to the Division of Business in Zhanaozen and the districts of the region that will work on preparing and collecting the documents required for participation in the Program. Further, the entrepreneur submits all the necessary documents to the second-tier banks, after approval, the entrepreneur, together with the bank, sends the documents to the Regional Coordination Council to receive a subsidy under the Program. The Regional Coordination Council will consider projects of priority for each district.
"At present, 192 applications from entrepreneurs worth more than 2 billion tenge have already been sent in akimats of cities and districts of the region. Of these, 35% in the livestock sector, 22% in processing and light industry, 16% in tourism, 8% in transportation and warehousing, 5% in crop production, 5% in healthcare, 3% in services, 3% in education, 1% for food, 1% for wholesale and retail, 0.3% for investments, art, entertainment and recreation, " - said Venera Mustapayeva, Head of the Entrepreneurship and Trade Department.
Also, there was a presentation of the pilot project "Kasipker Bolamin!" during the meeting, which has been implemented in the Mangystau region since January 2018. The game training project in the basics of entrepreneurship has a socio-educational mission: it develops entrepreneurial consciousness among schoolchildren, gives tools and bases the methods of doing business.
14 business trainers for 365 senior pupils conduct facultative studies within the first wave of the "Kasipker Bolamin!" project in 12 pilot schools of the region. A contest between business trainers and their students has been started. A business camp with the participation of international business coaches will be hold for 150 winners. Winners of the business camp will be provided with grants from the region's business leaders, the Damu Fund and the Atameken Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
